Our Artists

Academic Advisor: Kong Xianhua

Kong Xianhua (born 1961), courtesy name: Qiushi, pen name: Shengyanju Zhu, the 72nd direct descendant of Confucius, poet, painter, and national-level artist.

Member of the New York Art Association of the United States, founder of the Chinese Large-Scale Freehand Heavy Color Ink Painting School, director of the Chinese Calligraphy and Painting Association, member of the Central State-Level Art Newspaper, researcher of the Chinese Classical Studies Research Institute, life painter of the China International Calligraphy and Painting Art Institute, executive vice-chairman of the Chinese Calligraphy and Painting Society (Hong Kong), honorary chairman of the Chinese Artists Association (Hong Kong), deputy director of the Fine Arts Research Institute affiliated to Shandong University, vice-chairman of the Shandong Financial Artists Association, member of the Shandong Provincial Artists Association, advisor of the Binzhou Artists Association, contracted artist with Shanghai Future Art Studio, Tingyu Culture, Qianzhu Art Network, and Dean of Jinqiu Academy.

Has published over 1,300 poems.

His paintings have been featured in over 80 national publications, including the People’s Political Consultative Association Daily, Fine Arts Daily, China Collection, and World Knowledge Picture Magazine. More than 100 of his paintings have won awards in national, provincial, and municipal exhibitions and competitions. His works have traveled across the seas to be exhibited in countries such as South Korea, Japan, the Netherlands, and Venezuela, and have been collected by friends. He has also frequently participated in joint exhibitions and exchanges with artists from over a dozen countries, including Italy, Russia, the United States, Iran, Iraq, and Canada. He has been honored with titles such as “Expert in Chinese Calligraphy and Painting Arts,” “Outstanding People’s Artist for Showing Love,” “Lifetime Achievement Award,” “Pioneer Figure in Chinese Art Among World Chinese,” and “Most Popular Calligrapher and Painter.” He has been included in catalogs such as the “Directory of Contemporary Calligraphers and Painters,” the “National Talent Database of Calligraphers and Painters Professionals,” the “Directory of Contemporary Artists,” and the “Chinese Calligraphy and Painting Information Archive.”

Four works were exhibited at the 27th “Fashion Classics, Calligraphy and Painting Masters Invitation Exhibition” organized by Yi De Ge in Beijing in April 2022 and won an award for excellence. The same month, an online exhibition was held in Songzhuang, Beijing, featuring 100 works. In May, the work “Concerned About the Worries of the World First” was exhibited at the “Harmonious Beauty – 2022 Tokyo International Art Exhibition” organized by the Japan International Art Research Association at the Tokyo Metropolitan Art Museum.

From January 11 to 25, 2023, four works, including “Hue Language,” were featured in the “N. Modern Art” 13-person cross-year exhibition organized by Shanghai Pai Art Space. On May 27, the exhibition “Kong Xianhua – Entangled Colors” by Shigoku Corporation was launched in the central hall of the Hilton on the second floor in Tokyo’s Theme Park. The special event showcased 26 pieces by artist Kong Xianhua, achieving a 100% sale rate and earning a “white glove” award, with a total transaction value exceeding 6 million RMB. The works were also featured at the 27th International Guangzhou Art Fair.

In 2024, he was awarded the title of “Top Ten Member” by the Shandong Calligraphy and Painting Society.

In May 2025, his work was awarded the Gold Prize at the 7th International Network Exhibition of Abstract Art. On July 9, the solo exhibition of Kong Xiangyu’s large-scale, expressive, and richly colored ink paintings titled “Color Harmony and Flow” was held in Songcheng, Qingzhou, Shandong Province.

Kong Zi

Kong Zi was born in Tangshan City, Hebei Province, in 1952, and is originally from Xian County, Hebei Province. She studied at the Chinese Painting Department of the China Academy of Art in 1985 and graduated from the Fine Arts Department of the PLA Academy of Art in 1989. She is a professional painter and Class 1 Fine Arts Artist at the National Academy of Painting, a member of the Senior Professional Evaluation Committee of the Ministry of Culture, a researcher at the Chinese Painting Institute of the Chinese Art Academy, and has served as the sixth to eighth director of the China Artists Association, a member of the Art Committee of the China Artists Association, a director of the Chinese Painting Society, a member of the National Women’s Federation, and currently holds the title of Life Honorary President of the China Women Artists Association.

Kong Qi

Kong Qi (born in 1950), from Tongshan County, Hubei Province, hails from Qufu, Shandong Province. He is the 75th generation descendant of Confucius. His studio is named “Zai Zhen Tang” (True Representation Hall). He graduated from the Art and Design Department of Wuhan University of Technology, the Chinese Painting Department of the Central Academy of Fine Arts, and the Fine Arts Department of Capital Normal University. He holds a master’s degree. Currently, he serves as the Director of the Hubei Institute of Chinese Painting, a Class A Fine Arts Artist, Professor, Member of the China Artists Association, Director of the Crafts and Arts Research Society, Secretary-General of the Calligraphy and Painting Professional Committee, Vice President of the Beijing First Fine Arts Academy, and Member of the Literature and History Museum of the People’s Government of Hubei Province. He enjoys the special allowance provided by the State Council.[2]。

His works have been collected by institutions such as the National Art Museum of China, the Great Hall of the People, the Forbidden City, the Central Military Commission, and the National Museum of China, and he has published monographs such as “Kong Qi’s Paintings” and “Kong Qi’s Landscape Paintings”.

Kong Weike

Kong Weike, male, born on June 12, 1956, in Wenxiang, Shandong Province. His ancestral home is Qufu. He is the 78th direct descendant of Confucius. He currently serves as a member of the 14th National Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference. [10][11][13] Honorary President of the Shandong Painting Academy. [14][16] , member of the Central Committee of the Chinese Revolutionary Committee and president of the Central Academy of Painting of the Chinese Revolutionary Committee [14] Member of the Board of the China Artists Association. [9] Researcher, Chinese National Academy of Painting. [7] Executive Vice Chairman, Shandong Provincial Artists Association. [1] Vice Chairman of the Shandong Provincial Committee of the Minjue Party. [6] Director of the China Association for the Promotion of Peaceful Reunification, Director of the Zhongshan Cultural Exchange Association of China, Special Research Fellow of the Chinese Art Research Institute under the Ministry of Culture, Vice President of the World Association of Descendants of Confucius, and Vice President of the Shandong Provincial Federation of Friendship and Cultural Exchange.
